Seven Years Behind the Veil is a memoir covering my experiences in Saudi Arabia from 1970 through 1977. In retrospect, I landed on the shores of shifting sands in a perfect period to document this critical time in history. Motivated by the discovery of oil in the early 1970s, the Kingdom was just beginning to open its creaky gates to the world. During this time I did not live among the Bedouin or the Royalty...but in Urban Saudi Arabia where I document the provocative scenarios, intrigues and mysteries of everyday life. Enjoy!
